The Department of Instructional Technologies, located at the intersection of education and technology, plays a leading role in the design and development of contemporary learning environments. Our department conducts academic research in current and strategic areas such as the integration of technology into education, the development of digital learning tools, and the design of distance learning systems.
Our Educational and Teaching Activities
Our department plays a central role in our faculty's undergraduate programs and aims to equip students with fundamental technological competencies. In this context, we offer joint faculty courses such as Educational Technologies, Information Technologies, and Open and Distance Learning. Through these courses, our students are provided with comprehensive training in the digital skills and pedagogical approaches they will need in modern educational environments.
As a significant development that will take our academic activities to a new dimension, we will begin accepting graduate students starting in the 2025-2026 spring semester. Our master's and doctoral programs aim to develop expert academics and practitioners by providing in-depth research and application opportunities in the field of educational technologies.
Our Academic Staff and Infrastructure
Our department employs an experienced and dynamic faculty of four faculty members. Our faculty members conduct research and produce scientific studies at national and international levels in areas such as educational technologies, digital learning, instructional design, and distance learning.
We have three computer laboratories to provide our students with modern and well-equipped learning environments. These laboratories provide ideal environments for both practical application of theoretical courses and project work. We also have a test workshop for the implementation of innovative and creative projects. This workshop allows our students to develop their skills in STEM education, robotic coding, production technologies, and design-oriented thinking.
